Feb 5th • Next Grading
This grading is for all kyu belts up to Green Belt. Remember to bring all your sparring gear and be early, if you are late you will not be permitted to grade.

Feb 6th • Weapons Seminar, Saturday 2:00 - 4:30,
Older Teens and Adults Only, All Belt colors welcome, Cost $35 Includes Training Knife and Kubaton. This seminar will be instructed by Sensei Ole Frederiksen
Sensei Frederiksen is a former Canadian Soldier with over 21 years of Light Infantry experience with numerous international operational deployments. This Parachute and Dive trained soldier spent the last 5 years as a SERE (Survival Evasion Resistance and Escape) Instructor with The Canadian Forces School of Survival and Aero-medical Training1999 to 2004. Ole was re-activated for Afghanistan in 2007.

Feb 12th - 14th • Edmonton Gojukai Karate Club's annual Winter Camp
Edmonton Gojukai will be putting on another Winter Camp at beautiful Sylvan Lake in Alberta. Anyone is welcome to attend. If you are interested please talk to your instructor.

Feb 19th • Advanced Grading
Next advanced grading for all Shima students that are ready to attempt Blue Belt and up. 7:00pm sharp, be ready to sweat.

Feb 7th and 21 • Winter Games Training Session
To be held at the Shima Karate School in Nanaimo, this is for the Zone 6 Winter Games Team
