Amelia Cooper

I was born in Nanaimo, B.C and live here with my brother and parents. I am thirteen years old and currently go to Dover Bay Secondary school.

I enjoy playing tennis, basketball, cycling, ?shing, reading and training in Goju-ryu Karate in Nanaimo.

I continue to enjoy sporting activities, but my energies are now ?rmly directed towards the Martial Arts. I have now achieved the honor of wearing a black belt, and I feel that this is the beginning of my journey to improve myself in the Dojo and in life.

I have competed in numerous Karate tournaments, and have represented Shima Karate, Vancouver Island and the Province. I recently achieved a Silver medal in Kumite at the Nationals in Vancouver.

Being a black belt means I can learn, teach and promote values of respect, discipline, self-control, truth, harmony, perseverance and responsibility.
